How To Make Chicken Bog Recipe

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish


  1. In a large pot, brown the chicken thighs and drumsticks on both sides over medium heat. Remove from pot and set aside.

  2. In the same pot, add the sausage and cook until browned. Remove from pot and set aside.

  3. In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

  4. Add the rice, chicken broth, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the pot. Stir well.

  5. Return the chicken thighs, drumsticks, and sausage to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
