How To Make Bay-Steamed Broccoli
This Bay-Steamed Broccoli is an easy side dish to whip, loaded with tender broccoli that’s steamed with bay leaves and tossed in a rich butter mix.
Peel the broccoli stems.
In a pot wide enough to hold the whole broccoli heads, bring the water, bay leaves, butter, and salt to a boil. Add the broccoli and cover.
Cook over moderate heat, turning once, for 15 minutes until tender.
Transfer the broccoli to a warmed platter and cover with foil.
Boil the cooking liquid for 5 minutes until it has reduced to ¼ cup.
Pour the liquid over the broccoli, discard the bay leaves, and serve. Enjoy!
