Ingredients
- 14 lb. whole turkey
- 3 sweet green apples, or red apples, quartered
- 1 large lemon, quartered
- 2 heads garlic
- 5 sprigs thyme
- 5 sprigs sage
- 3 sprigs rosemary
- 2 tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. freshly cracked pepper
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 stick butter, sliced
Instructions
- Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
- Cut the tops off of the garlic.
- Clean out the cavity and stuff it with the apples, lemon, rosemary, thyme, and sage.
- Coat the turkey with the olive oil and sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
- Put thin slits in the skin of the turkey and place the slices of butter in them.
