How To Make Roasted Turkey (Gluten-Free)

Ingredients

  • 1 (10-12 lb) turkey, thawed and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and place breast side up in a roasting pan.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the butter, salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and garlic powder.
  4. Spread the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the onion, celery, and carrots.
  6. Place the turkey in the preheated oven and roast for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving and serving.
