How To Make Tuna Sweetcorn Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 cup sweetcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the tuna, sweetcorn, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, green onions, lemon zest, dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a plate or a tray lined with parchment paper. Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to firm up.

  3. Preheat a grill or a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.

  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a tuna sweetcorn patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.

  6. Serve the tuna sweetcorn burgers hot and enjoy!
