A flavorful and spicy curry made with tender octopus, perfect to warm up your taste buds.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 500g octopus, cleaned and chopped into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan and add onion, garlic, ginger paste and green chilies. Saute until onions turn translucent.

Add tomatoes and saute until they turn mushy.

Add turmeric, coriander, cumin and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add octopus, salt and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes or until octopus is tender.

Add coconut milk and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with steamed rice.
