How To Make Mussels in Tomato Cream Sauce
Succulent mussels cooked in creamy tomato sauce, full of flavor and perfect for a cozy night in.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 lbs of mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can of diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.

Pour in white wine and stir for 1 minute, then add canned tomatoes and stir well.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Add cleaned mussels to the pan and cover, cooking for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels are opened.

Remove the mussels from the pan and set aside. Add heavy cream to the pan and bring the sauce to a simmer.

Cook for 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

Serve the mussels hot, topped with the creamy tomato sauce and garnished with fresh parsley.
