How To Make Grilled Octopus

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs octopus
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add octopus and cook for 30 minutes or until tender. Remove from pot and let cool.

  3. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

  4. Brush the octopus with the marinade mixture.

  5. Place octopus on the hot grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, until lightly charred.

  6. Remove octopus from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

  7. Slice octopus into serving pieces and drizzle with additional marinade. Serve hot.
