How To Make Nasi Goreng with Sardines

Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 2 cans of sardines in tomato sauce
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 red chili peppers, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili paste (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 4 fried eggs (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the sliced red chili peppers and cook for an additional minute.

Drain the sardines from the tomato sauce and add them to the skillet. Break the sardines into smaller pieces using a spatula.

Add soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and chili paste (if using) to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

Add the cooked rice to the skillet and toss everything together until the rice is evenly coated with the sauce.

Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is heated through.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot. Optionally, top each serving with a fried egg.
