Stove Top Mac and Cheese Recipe

My family loves this dish because it is so creamy. I have to cook this dish every holiday. It is my family’s comfort food.

Make your classic mac and cheese extra cheesy by using Velveeta cheese. It's creamy with the right sweet and salty flavor.

Cook: 25 mins
Total: 40 mins


  • 16 oz spaghetti
  • 1 can cream
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper , to taste
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 pkg Velveeta cheese


  1. Boil 1 spaghetti per directions on the package. Drain.

  2. Add back to pot the water that was used to boil spaghetti.

  3. Add cream, margarine, and Velveeta cheese. Slightly melt the cheese.

  4. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Stir constantly to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove from burner, let stand for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
