How To Make Pasta with Pine Nuts, Broccoli, Sardines & Fennel

Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
 - 1/4 cup pine nuts
 - 1 small head of broccoli, cut into florets
 - 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
 - 2 cloves of garlic, minced
 - 2 tbsp olive oil
 - 2 cans of sardines, drained and flaked
 - salt and pepper to taste
 - grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
 
Instructions
- 
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
 - 
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the pine nuts and toast until lightly golden.
 - 
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
 - 
Add the sliced fennel and broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté until they are tender-crisp.
 - 
Stir in the flaked sardines and season with salt and pepper to taste.
 - 
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
 - 
Serve the pasta with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
