How To Make Creamy Pesto Penne with Sausage Recipe

Ingredients
- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1/2 cup pesto sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the pesto sauce and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat until heated through.

Add the cooked penne pasta and cooked sausage to the skillet. Stir to coat everything in the creamy pesto sauce.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the creamy pesto penne with sausage hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
