Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, honey, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice. Set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper. Coat the shrimp in the mixture.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  4. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add walnuts and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  5. In a clean skillet, heat the prepared sauce over medium heat. Add the fried shrimp and cooked walnuts. Stir to coat everything evenly with the sauce.

  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

  7. Serve the honey walnut shrimp hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
