  • 500g hake fillets
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.

  2. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder. Cook for a minute to release the flavors.

  3. Add hake fillets to the pan and coat them with the spice mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.

  4. Pour in coconut milk and season with salt. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes until the fish is cooked through and the flavors meld together.

  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
