Ingredients

  • 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Place the diced sweet potatoes in the slow cooker.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  3. Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes and stir until well-coated.

  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the sweet potatoes are tender.

  5. Before serving, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
