How To Make Nutmeg and Gingerbread Cookies
Soft, chewy cookies with warm spices of nutmeg and ginger.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the molasses and egg, and mix well.

Sift in the flour, baking soda, ginger, nutmeg, and salt, and mix until a dough forms.

Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.

Flatten each ball slightly with a fork.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
