- 1 pound green beans, trimmed
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.

Place the blanched green beans in a jar or container with a tight-fitting lid.
