How To Make Asparagus & Parmesan pastries

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 12 asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 4 equal squares.

  3. Place 3 asparagus spears on each square. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Fold the edges of the pastry squares over the asparagus to form a small tart.

  5. Brush the pastries with beaten egg and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the asparagus is tender.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
