Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus stalks. Set aside.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the asparagus spears for 3-4 minutes, until bright green and slightly charred.

  4. Transfer the cooked asparagus to a serving dish. Drizzle with the lemon and Parmesan butter mixture.

  5. Serve the raw asparagus alongside the cooked asparagus, with additional lemon and Parmesan butter on the side.
