How To Make Soy Ginger Tofu Stir-Fry
A savory and flavorful stir-fry dish with protein-packed tofu, fresh veggies, and a ginger-infused soy sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup scallions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Start with cubing the tofu and coat it with cornstarch.

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, add tofu cubes and pan fry until golden brown in color. Remove from pan and keep aside.

Add onion, red pepper, garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil and pour it over the cooked vegetables.

Add the tofu back to the pan and stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper according to your taste.

Garnish with sliced scallions and serve hot with a bed of steamed rice.
