Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
- Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa
Instructions
-
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
-
Sprinkle the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the browned beef. Stir well to coat the beef in the spices.
-
Reduce the heat to low and simmer the beef for 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
-
While the beef is simmering, prepare the lettuce leaves by washing and drying them.
-
Once the beef is ready, spoon it onto the lettuce leaves.
-
Top each taco with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and sliced jalapenos.
-
Serve the tacos immediately and garnish with optional toppings, if desired.
