Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • topping ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a large bowl, mix together sweet potatoes, brown sugar, softened butter, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

  3. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly.

  5. Sprinkle topping mixture over sweet potato mixture.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
