
How To Make Smoked Ham Hock Soup Recipe
A hearty soup made with smoked ham hock and vegetables.

Ingredients
- 1 smoked ham hock
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 cups of water
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, combine the smoked ham hock, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, water, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 hours.

Remove the ham hock from the soup and shred the meat. Discard the bone and any fat.

Return the shredded meat to the soup and discard the bay leaves.

Serve hot with bread.
