Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh redcurrants
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the raspberries, redcurrants, 1/2 cup sugar, and cornstarch. Stir until the fruits are well coated.

  3. Pour the fruit mixture into a greased baking dish.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt. Add in the cold cubed butter and mix with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  5. Stir in the milk until the dough comes together.

  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the fruit mixture, covering it evenly.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
