How To Make Eggnog Trifle

- 1 package of sponge cake or ladyfingers
- 2 cups of eggnog
- 2 cups of whipped cream
- 1/4 cup of rum (optional)
- 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp of nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of crushed gingerbread cookies (optional)
- Sprinkles or cinnamon sticks for garnish
Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the eggnog, rum (if using), powdered sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

Cut the sponge cake or ladyfingers into small pieces and layer them in individual serving glasses or a trifle dish.

Pour half of the eggnog mixture over the cake layer, allowing it to soak in.

Next, add a layer of whipped cream on top of the eggnog layer.

Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.

Sprinkle crushed gingerbread cookies on top for added crunch and flavor (if desired).
