This was a favorite dessert at Thanksgiving and Christmas when we all gathered at Grandma’s house – the holidays weren’t complete without her delicious homemade sherbet. I remember those days fondly whenever I make it.


How To Make Pineapple Sherbet

Another refreshing dessert to enjoy during hot days. The Pineapple and buttermilk gave a tangy and sweet flavor to this dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 qt buttermilk
  • 20 oz crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1⅓ cup sugar
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients; mix well.

  2. Cover and freeze for 1 hour.

  3. Stir; return to freezer for at least 2 hours before serving.
