How To Make Bourbon Bread Pudding

Savor a slice or two of this deliciously sweet bourbon bread pudding! It’s a cinnamon-spiced, nut-filled bread that’s glazed with a boozy whiskey sauce.

For Bread Pudding:

  • 4cupsmilk
  • ½cupbutter
  • 1cupwhite sugar
  • 4large eggs,beaten slightly
  • 2tspground cinnamon
  • ¼tspsalt
  • 12cupsdry bread cubes
  • ½cupraisins
  • ¼cuphazelnuts,finely chopped

For Whiskey Sauce:

  • 2cupsbrown sugar,packed
  • 1cupbutter
  • ½cupbourbon whiskey


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Heat the milk and ½ cup of butter in a saucepan over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the butter is completely melted.

  3. Mix the sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and salt together in a large mixing bowl with a whisk until well blended. Stir in the milk mixture. Stir in bread cubes, raisins, and hazelnuts. Let sit for 5 minutes.

  4. Pour into an ungreased 9×13-inch baking dish.

  5. Bake uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Heat the brown sugar, 1 cup of butter, and bourbon whiskey in a pot over medium heat. Stirring constantly for about 5 minutes until boiling and the sugar is dissolved. Set aside.

  7. Pour the sauce over the bread pudding, then serve and enjoy!
