Ingredients
For Bread Pudding:
- 1 lb French style bread, the firmer the better
- 3 ¼ cups milk
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup pecans
- ¼ cup raisins, optional
For Bourbon Sauce:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp Bourbon
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp white corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Bread Pudding:

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

Tear the bread into medium-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Add the sugar and cinnamon

In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, and vanilla until well-combined. Pour them onto the bread bowl.

Grab a casserole and place half of the bread mixture.

Layer the pecans and raisins. Top it off with the rest of the mix.

Bourbon Sauce:
