Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 package of ready-made pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the pitted cherries, sugar, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Mix well.

  3. Roll out one pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish.

  4. Pour the cherry filling onto the pie crust.

  5. Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips to create a lattice pattern on top of the cherry filling.

  6. Press the ends of the strips onto the edges of the bottom crust to seal.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.

  8. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
