How To Make Cherry Fruit Pie Recipe
This classic cherry pie is made with fresh cherries and has a buttery, flaky crust.

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse sugar, for sprinkling
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt.

Roll out pie crust and place into an ungreased 9-inch pie dish.

Pour the cherry filling into the crust and dot with butter.

Roll out remaining dough and cut into strips to make a lattice top.

Brush lattice top with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.

Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the pie is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
