How To Make Cinnamon Pecan Shortbread Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Pecans
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 Large egg

Instructions

  1. To begin, preheat your oven to 350° F and chop up your pecans in a food processor until they’re much smaller. 

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ff ingredients:

    All purpose flour

    Baking powder

    Egg

  3. Then, heat up a pan over a medium-low heat to melt the butter. Add in the brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Raise the heat to medium and let this mixture boil for about 5 minutes before stirring in the heavy cream and chopped pecans.

  5. Combine the mixture with the dry ingredients.

  6. Then, line a baking dish with tinfoil and pour this mixture inside. Bake it for about 20-25 minutes, and let cool for 10 minutes. Cut into bars, and enjoy!
