How To Make Fig Jam Thumbprint Cookies
Soft and buttery shortbread cookies filled with sweet fig jam, perfect for an afternoon tea.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup fig jam
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add in flour and salt. Mix until just combined.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Using your thumb, make an indentation in the center of each cookie.

Fill each indentation with 1/2 teaspoon of fig jam.

Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
