Cooking: 15 minutes
Total: 4 hours 30 minutes (includes chilling and freezing time)

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh figs, diced
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  3. In a separate saucepan, heat heavy cream and whole milk over medium heat. Add granulated sugar and stir until dissolved.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, pinch of salt, and the fig mixture.

  5. Transfer mixture to a bowl and let cool to room temperature before covering and chilling in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

  6. Once chilled, pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions.

  7. Transfer churned ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours, or until ice cream has hardened.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
