How To Make Fig and Goat Cheese Tart

A buttery shortcrust pastry filled with creamy goat cheese and topped with sweet fresh figs.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of ready-made shortcrust pastry
  • 100g soft goat cheese
  • 2 fresh figs, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Roll out the pastry and place in a tart tin.

  3. Spread the goat cheese over the pastry, season with salt and pepper.

  4. Arrange the figs on top of the goat cheese.

  5. Drizzle the honey over the figs.

  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

  8. Serve warm.
