How To Make Chocolate Orange Flapjacks

  • 200g butter
  • 100g demerara sugar
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 200g rolled oats
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a baking tin with parchment paper.

  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup over low heat until smooth.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the rolled oats, chopped chocolate, and orange zest until well combined.

  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and spread evenly.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the tin before cutting into squares.
