How To Make Chocolate Flapjacks

Ingredients

  • 150g oats
  • 100g butter
  • 75g brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 50g milk chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup over low heat until combined.

  3. Stir in the cocoa powder until well mixed. Remove from heat.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats and melted chocolate mixture. Mix until all the oats are coated.

  5. Transfer the mixture to the lined baking tray and press it down firmly to make an even layer.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and set.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into squares.

  8. In a small saucepan, melt the dark and milk chocolate over low heat until smooth and glossy.

  9. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled flapjacks.

  10. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
