How To Make Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

Enjoy a sweeter bite of these shortbread cookies with the added chocolate chips! Whip up a batch of these buttery cookies in just one hour.

Ingredients

  • 1cupunsalted butter,softened
  • ½cupsugar
  • 2cupsflour
  • ½cupmini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.

  2. Add butter and sugar to a stand mixer, then cream on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

  3. Lower speed to the lowest setting, then add in the flour slowly until just combined. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.

  4. Roll the mixture into a 2 inch wide log and wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  5. Cut into ½ thick slices, then bake for 20 minutes.

  6. Cool completely before removing from baking sheet. Serve, and enjoy!
