Ingredients

  • 150g dark chocolate, chopped
  • ⅓ cup tahini
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate, tahini, and butter together over a pan of simmering water. Stir until smooth.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.

  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray and spread it evenly. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. Allow the traybake to cool in the tray before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
