How To Make Strawberry Torte Recipe

This light and fruity dessert features layers of sponge cake, whipped cream, and juicy strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 sponge cake (8 inch)
  • 2 cups of strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Cut sponge cake into 2 even layers.

  3. Place bottom layer onto a 9 inch cake tin.

  4. Layer sliced strawberries over the cake layer.

  5. In a bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

  6. Spread whipped cream over the strawberries.

  7. Cover with the remaining cake layer and press down gently.

  8. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
