Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by lemon juice and zest.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.

  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until it forms a smooth batter.

  6. Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch cake pan.

  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. Cool on a wire rack, dust with powdered sugar (if desired), and serve with whipped cream.
