  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

  4. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned.

  6. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and transfer it to the preheated oven.

  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  8. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
