How To Make Louise’s Italian Cafe Chicken Marsala Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup marsala wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Preheat the oven to 200°F and place a baking sheet in the oven.

In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano. Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the chicken to the baking sheet in the oven.

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their liquid, about 5 minutes. Add the marsala wine and chicken broth, and bring to a simmer. Simmer until the sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes.

Pour the sauce over the chicken and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
