Ingredients

  • 1 pound of pasta
  • 2 cups of fresh basil leaves
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup of pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

  2. While pasta is cooking, combine the basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil in a blender or food processor until smooth.

  3. Season the pesto with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Drain the cooked pasta and return it to the pot.

  5. Add the pesto to the pot and toss until the pasta is evenly coated.

  6. Serve hot with additional Parmesan cheese.
