How To Make Liam’s Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef over medium heat.

  2. Add the chopped onions, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened and beef is fully cooked.

  3. Add the can of diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

  4. Pour in the water and bring to a simmer.

  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh cilantro or grated cheese, if desired.
