  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together peanut butter and sugar until smooth.

  3. Add beaten egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture, and mix until just combined.

  6. Fold in dark chocolate chips.

  7. Roll dough into 12 balls and place on lined baking sheet, allowing room for spreading.

  8. Flatten each ball with a fork in a criss-cross pattern.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.

  10. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
