Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

  3. Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  4. Place the lemon slices and rosemary sprigs inside the chicken cavity.

  5. Place the chicken on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

  7. Serve the roast chicken with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
