  • 2cupfrozen hash browns,shredded
  • 1cuponion,diced and sweet onions
  • 1tbspbutter
  • salt,to taste
  • pepper,to taste
  • 2cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • 1country sausage gravy,optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the hash browns according to the package skillet instructions.

  2. Remove the cooked hash browns to an oven-safe plate and place them in the oven on warm.

  3. Add the onions and butter to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Top the warm hash browns with the onions and then cover them with cheese.
