Whip up the perfect side to hot soups with this fried bread recipe! They’re made from homemade-type white bread, cut into triangles and fried until browned.

  • 4white bread slices,homemade type
  • 1cupolive oil,or vegetable oil, or more if needed


  1. Cut each slice of bread diagonally into 2 triangles.

  2. Heat the oil in a 10 or 12-inch skillet over medium heat, add the bread, then fry until browned on both sides.

  3. Transfer to paper towels to drain.

  4. Serve with soups, and enjoy!
