  • 1 cup warm water
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. Slowly add the warm water while stirring until a dough forms.

  3. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.

  5. Heat enough vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot for frying.

  6. Take a small piece of dough and flatten it into a round shape with your hands.

  7. Carefully place the dough into the hot oil and fry on each side until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  8. Remove the fried bread from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  9. Repeat with the remaining dough.

  10. Serve the fry bread warm with your favorite toppings or use it as a base for tacos or sandwiches.
