Easy Empanadas Recipe

Empanadas are a traditional Latin American dish that may seem a little daunting to make. But, with the crescent roll shortcut, you can have delicious empanadas that are also easy to make. Try these the next time you’re in the mood for a little Latin flavor.

How To Make Easy Empanadas

  • 16 oz. refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (diced)
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Heat a skillet on medium-high and saute the onion and garlic.
  3. Add the beef and cook it until it crumbles.
  4. Drain the beef and pour in the tomatoes.
  5. Season the meat with the taco spice.
  6. Fold in the cheese and spoon the mixture into the crescent roll dough.
  7. Split the dough into squares so that it makes 8 empanadas.
  8. Press the dough closed and bake the empanadas for 12-15 minutes.
